Autocut M3 Support
First produced in 2003, the M3 system is the upgrade and evolution of the 7000 series machines. A carbon fiber beam and Berger-Lahr stepper motors are its most distinctive characteristics.
The tablebase on later M3 systems is made up of fiberglass Strongwell panels, with a symmetrical rail system and white V-wheel bearings.

Variants
- Microstepping
Machines with M3.2 serial numbers have the appropriate drive and firmware configuration for theta microstepping, allowing of smoother, quieter theta motion. For information on configuring replacement drives and reprogramming firmware, see the Theta Microstepping guide.
- V-wheel bearings
All M3s with M3.3 serial numbers contain a more durable v-wheel wheel bearing for the gantry. Symmetrical rails accompany this change. These bearings are not interchangable with earlier wheel bearings. Be sure to order the correct replacement bearings for your system.
